Billions of years ago, an alien species known as the Padreans, from an entirely different universe, set out to discover whether or not other sentient beings existed. Decades of exploration showed them that not only did other sentient life exist, but that it was also highly abundant.
Eager to search as far as possible, Padrean scientists invented the ULS, or Universal Link System, using tears in the fabric of space-time to create portals, or "doorways" to other universes.
With this new network of doorways, the Padreans met with several other species, and came to the conclusion that a central government should be put in place, to take responsibility over such technology. Thus a Senatoral Council was established, with the Padreans at the head of universal government, respectively. One being from every major sentient species was appointed to this council.
The Padreans then opened gateways to the central focalpoint of all universes, an alternate dimmention which they called "Valhalla." Here they built the universal capital, a massive space station in the shape of a disc, with a bio dome covering the majority of it and the city on it. This "biosphere" was christened "Ambrosia." In the center of Ambrosia's massive city, resides the Fortress, the government building. It is here the council meets.
Ever since, the Universal Council has resided over all major sentient races. Any races to discover Faster-Than-Light Travel and join the interconnected network of civilizations were welcomed and accepted into this "universal society."
The Anubians joined decades ago, but are mostly looked down upon due to their being a fairly young race and their seemingly unnatural structure. It was only recently the Anubians were allowed to choose a represenative to be on the council. The Padreans still have akward feelings toward them, and several other races seem uncomfortable with the Anubians. As such, tensions can be high on the council.

Since Alienz is dead, I have decided to work on Planet of Fate again. I am, however, starting over with a clean slate.
This small introduction to the new Universal Council is the first new bit of information for the new PoF, and it is information you'll need to know. This UC will be appearing in PoF itself many times.
I may/may not retool other pieces of information reguarding PoF or not, depending on their content. Most will likely be updated or replaced, however. Keep your eyes peeled.
The spark of inspiration for this came from Mass Effect 2, a sci-fi game with a genius story and eceptional voice actors, including Keith David, Seth Green, and Jennifer Hale, just to name a few. It was so good, the demo fanned my creative flame.

Overlord was great too, it had me teary-eyed at the end
Anyway, that was really kinda reminiscent of ME (excluding the extra-dimensional aliens or whatever you would call them) with the whole "new guys aren't accepted by the council" thing going on there. Interesting, but it definitely needs some tweaking.
