Many moons ago, there once was a horrible demon named Vagoda, who terrorized the entire universe along with his group of followers, known as the Vagodan Court. A race of telepathic-sentient-grey aliens, the Utara of the planet Erussii, fought this creature and his minions with all their might. It was, however, a hopeless cause. Vagoda sought to strike down all who opposed him, and so he did, traveling from world to word punishing all who fought against him.
One of these beings, called Agra, would no longer stand for this tyranical opression, devised a way to fight Vagoda, and set his plan in motion. As Vagoda burned their world, Agra worked hard to save as many of his people as he could, having them hide away, safe in cryogenic sleep.
Agra then rose up to fight Vagoda. His heroism and his powers were strong, but weren't strong enough, so Agra decided that there was only one way to defeat him. Agra used all that he had to seal Vagoda away in another realm, destroying himself in the process. When they awoke, the few that were left found a world that was barely habitable. Convinced that all was lost, most sat waiting for their end. A young man named Drumau, wasn't convinced that this was the end, though, and sought to find a way to help his people. It was at this moment, he was contacted by the spirit of Agra, who had ascended to a higher plane of existance.
With Agra's guidance, Drumau revealed to the remaining people a way. Using materials from the ruins of their civillization, they crafted a makeshift ship. The work was long and hard, and had a casualty or two. But it was finished. The remaining people flew the ship for some time, until they were caught in the gravity well of a large planet. Crashlanding on the surface, they emerged from their craft to find a beautiful, alien paradise. Drumau decided to name it 'Anubia,' which meant 'a new beginning.' From then on, the beings would be known as Anubians.
Endowed with Agra's abilities, Drumau set out to help his people rebuild. He took on six apprentices, and during his journeys, kept a journal. I, Chlora Nova, seeress of Anubia, was born unto two prophets, and endowed with Drumau's abilities, along with Shidori Salvavitos. It was hard, but the population grew once more, and we went from huts to houses. As he lay dying, Drumau tasked Shidori and I to follow after him and his followers. He gave us pieces of his amulet, each forged of pure gold, and endowed with the powers of Agra himself. They would make us immortal, so that we may carry on the work of our prophets.
Civillization on Anubia grew, and with it, so did the price of civillization. Cities grew, and so did politics and crime. After a generation or so of civil war, the Government became a monocratic democracy, the best solution anyone could agree on. Crime still climbed, and so to did the problems of our world. Disgusted with the way things were becoming, Shidori and I were convinced that we had failed. I went into space and exiled myself on a remote planet. Shidori took a select few of followers and exiled himself to a remote and abandoned village out on the plains.
Shidori and I remained in secrecy, doing what we could to keep the peace. Trying to keep the balance. I have tutored a few people in our ways, though it helps very little, and Shidori has taken on many apprentices. But everyday I fear that it will never be enough. As things are now, we need nothing short of a miracle, and we can only pray to Agra that things may be better, for our Planet of Fate.
